How comparisons work

The first comparisons are being verified before they go live. This page sets out the rules they follow from the first day.

  1. Pick the edition

Standard, Deluxe, Ultimate, Complete or GOTY, DLC or a bundle: what each one adds, taken from the official store's own package lists.

    • Editions
    • DLC
    • Bundles
  2. Check it works for you

Platform, launcher, activation and region, plus VR support where the official store lists it. Anything we cannot verify is shown as unknown.

    • Steam
    • GOG
    • EA app
    • Ubisoft Connect
    • US region
    • VR
  3. Compare equivalent offers

Only offers for the exact same product and edition, and only from stores that have approved this website.

    • Official stores
    • Retailers
    • Marketplaces
  4. Decide by stated rules

The lowest listed price for that edition, the lowest at an official store or retailer, and the cheapest way to get the game with its DLC.

Which stores we include

Every offer says how its store sells:

Prices

The listed price is the price in US dollars that a store shows a US buyer before checkout. Stores can add fees at checkout; the store sets the final total. We write "lowest listed price among the stores we list" and never claim a price is the lowest anywhere: we do not cover every store.

Every offer shows when its store's data was last updated, which is not the same as when we last imported it. We do not publish data that is older than its source's limit, and we keep the last good data when a store's feed fails, with its real age.

What we never compare

Different editions with each other, a key with an account or a gift, PC with console, a region-locked key with one that works everywhere, or a base game with its DLC.
